SUNDAY, DAY 3 - SYDNEY
Arrive Sydney, cosmopolitan capital of Australia. Welcome to the “Land Down Under”, where the language is familiar, the people are friendly and the spirit is pioneering. Transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure to acclimate to the time difference.
MONDAY, DAY 4 - SYDNEY
The city exudes a wonderful energy and cultural vibrancy that translates into cosmo-politan sophistication. Our tour today, visits the Southern Beaches, the sprawling Botanical Gardens, Kings Cross and Sydney’s impressive Opera House, jutting out into the harbor. Lunch is aboard the Captain Cook ship as we cruise through lovely Sydney Harbor and out to the Pacific Ocean Beaches. On completion of cruise, enjoy the historic ‘rocks’ area on your own and stroll or taxi back to the hotel. Evening at leisure. BL
TUESDAY, DAY 5 - SYDNEY
This morning, a Professional Visit at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead., then the balance of the day is at leisure for optional sightseeing, shopping or taking a stroll in the Rocks area, where the first fleet anchored in the 18th century. Dinner tonight at The Restaurant of the Rocks – a must for any visitor to Sydney- right on the water’s edge. BD
WEDNESDAY, DAY 6 - SYDNEY-CAIRNS
Morning flight to Cairns, with a Professional Visit at the Royal Flying Doctor base. Lunch at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Center. BL
THURSDAY, DAY 7 - CAIRNS
Today, an excursion to the gorgeous Great Barrier Reef on board the Quicksilver Wavedancer boat which takes you to the Low Isles Reef . Moor in the crystal clear waters of the island’s picturesque lagoon. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and coral viewing. (Scuba diving is also available as an option). After a sumptuous tropical smorgasbord lunch and afternoon tea, return to your hotel in Cairns. BL
FRIDAY, DAY 8 - CAIRNS-CHRISTCHURCH
Transfer to the airport for your flight to New Zealand and the city of Christchurch. Meeting and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. B
SATURDAY, DAY 9 - CHRISTCHURCH
Morning tour of this most “English” of cities outside the U.K. includes Cathedral Square, Town Hall, Floral Clock and the University of Canterbury complex in Ilem. Drive up to Cashmere Hills to the “Signs of the Takahe” an old stone road house overlooking Christchurch with beautiful views of the Southern Alps. Continue through Dyers Pass to Lyttleton, a port where wooden houses cling to the steep streets above the harbor. Return to Christchuch. Tonight, join local New Zealanders for a home hosted dinner. SUNDAY, DAY 10 - CHRISTCHURCH-QUEENSTOWN
Fly to picturesque Queenstown. Meeting and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. B
MONDAY, DAY 11 - QUEENSTOWN
Today’s full day excursion takes us through beautiful dense forests and the Fjordland National Park to Milford Sound, enclosed by sheer sheets of rock rising 4,000 feet up from the sea. Cruise by launch across the sound, passing Mitre Peak, tumbling falls,seals snoozing on rocky shelves and cavorting dolphins – cap the scenery. Lunch is included today. Early evening return to Queenstown. BL
TUESDAY, DAY 12 - QUEENSTOWN
Morning at leisure for a variety of fascinating optional tours in this lively city. This afternoon, a Professional Visit is scheduled.
WEDNESDAY, DAY 13 - QUEENSTOWN-ROTORUA
Fly to Rotorua, the center of New Zealand’s hot thermal belt and home to some 5,000 descendants of the Maori Arawa tribe; meeting and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon sightseeing in Rotorua includes a visit to the nearby Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve with its dramatic springs and geysers. See a fascinating demonstration of the sheep industry and drive to the Rainbow Spring & Farm, a sanctuary for trout and kiwi. Tonight, enjoy a special “Hangi” Feast (cooked in rock steam ovens), followed by a Maori Concert featuring hand games, ancient dances and chants. BD
THURSDAY, DAY 14 - ROTORUA-WAITOMO-AUCKLAND
Travel overland through the lush countryside of Waitomo. Here take a relaxing boat ride through the famed Glow Worm Caves. After lunch, continue through the scenic Waikato Valley to Auckland, New Zealand’s lively capital. BL

Today’s sightseeing tour of Auckland, the “City of Sails” includes the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Waterfront Drive and Mount Eden, an extinct volcano offering spectacular panoramic views of the area. Tonight’s Farwell Dinner caps a magnificent journey. BD
