TUESDAY, DAY 3- HANOI
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon's orientation tour explores Hanoi - enchanting Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of the city, the delightful Ngoc Son Pagoda with its beautiful gardens and the unique, and a special visit to the Bao Tang Lich History Museum, including exhibits artifacts from Vietnam's turbulent history. See the bustling Old Quarter and its colorful marketplace, the Opera House. Tonight Welcome Dinner celebrates your arrival. D
WEDNESDAY, DAY 4- HANOI
This morning a Professional Visit is scheduled, then visit the Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius. Next see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed in Oct/Nov), a site of pilgrimage, and the unique One Pillar Pagoda. After lunch, tour to Bat Trang, the pottery village near Hanoi.. Visit the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Ethnology before stopping at the infamous Hanoi Hilton Prison, before returning to the hotel. Tonight, enjoy the Water Puppet Show, a fantastic art form originating in northern Vietnam, best seen in Hanoi. BL
THURSDAY, DAY 5- HANOI-HALONG BAY-HANOI
This morning journey to Halong Bay, one of the greatest natural wonders of Asia. The beauty of the bay and its 3,000 islands is spectacular. The vast bay covers 4,000 square kilometers with dozens of fjords and inlets to explore and peaceful places to swim, fish or just relax. Cruise on a wooden boat among the emerald waters of the Bay. A delicious Seafood Lunch on board. Return to Hanoi. BL
FRIDAY, DAY 6 - HANOI-HUE
Fly to Hue, one of the most beautiful cities in Vietnam. Start your discovery of Hue with a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, just outside Hue, on the bank of the Perfume River, this was a hotbed of anti-government protest during the early 60s. On to see the beautiful tomb of the famed Emperor Minh Mang. Lunch is included today. BL
SATURDAY, DAY 7 - HUE
An exciting full day tour in Hue includes a visit to the Imperial Palace, the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. It's like stepping back into a Vietnam of a glittering former era. Visit the majestic mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, set amid frangipani and pine trees, and the gaudy tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, which combines European and Vietnamese elements. Following lunch, tour the colorful local market. BL
SUNDAY, DAY 8- HUE- HO CHI MINH CITY
Morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to your hotel, then a Professional Visit is scheduled for this afternoon, followed by a city tour that will include a visit to the French colonial-era Notre Dam Cathedral facing bustling Dong Khoi Street in the heart of old Saigon. Continue to the Pagoda of the Jade Emperor, a spectacularly colorful structure and the gem of all the Chinese temples in the city. On to Ben Thanh Market - one of the liveliest markets anywhere - and the "Chinatown" of the city, Cholon, which means "Big Market." Tonight, enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. BD
MONDAY, DAY 9- HO CHI MINH CITY
This morning, drive to the outskirts of the city to visit the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, which became famous during the 1960s. The tunnel system stretched from the South Vietnamese capital to the Cambodian border. Lunch at a local restaurant; then continue to Tay Ninh for a visit to the amazing Great Temple of the Cao Dai faith, before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.BL
TUESDAY, DAY 10- HO CHI MINH CITY
From Saigon, drive into the heart of the Mekong Delta to Cai Be and embark on one of the local boats to explore Cai Be Floating Market, a lively market of fruit and vegetable barges with a picturesque cathedral on the riverside. Stop at the Mekong River Islands to see how the delta residents make traditional treats with the opportunity to sample the local delicacies. Disembark at Vinh Long and return to the city. BL
WEDNESDAY, DAY 11 - HO CHI MINH CITY-SIEM REAP
Depart by air to Siem Reap; meeting and transfer to the hotel. Here you will discover Angkor Wat - one of the extraordinary "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" - this temple built in 802A.D. was once home to more than one million people at the height of the Khmer Empire. Sightseeing today, also includes Angkor Thom and the Bayon, as well as a Professional Visit. Lunch and dinner included today. BLD
THURSDAY, DAY 12- SIEM REAP
Today, continue your specially guided tour of Angkor Wat and the South Gate of Bayon. Then on to Angkor conservation area, the Temple of Ta Prohm, Ta Keo, Banteay, Srei, Bantreay Samre, Eastern Mebon and many other unforgettable sights. Lunch and Dinner.BLD
FRIDAY, DAY 13- SIEM REAP -BANGKOK
Morning embark on a boat trip journey up the Tonle Sap River, which links the Tonle Sap Lake to the Mekong Delta. This lake makes up much of the center of Cambodia and changes in size depending on the seasons. Visit the Chong Kneas Village which is a floating village on the lake where both Khmer and Vietnamese live. This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok for overnight at the airport hotel.B
SATURDAY, DAY 14- BANGKOK-WEST COAST
Morning departure from Bangkok to the U.S. arriving later the same day. B
