MONDAY, DAY 1- EN ROUTE
Depart the U.S.

TUESDAY, DAY 2- BEIJING
Evening arrival in Beijing, China's centuries-old political, cultural and communications capital. Meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel.

WEDNESDAY, DAY 3 - BEIJING
Full day of sightseeing in Beijing. Wander about the immense plaza that is Tiananmen Square, capable of holding more than a million people. Visit the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th century architecture. After lunch, enter the Forbidden City, the 9,000-room home to Ming and Qing emperors - with its priceless historical treasures. Tonight, a special treat, "The Legend of Kung Fu" performance at the Red Theater. BL

THURSDAY, DAY 4- BEIJING
Today's journey takes us outside the city to the Great Wall of China - one of the only man-made structures visible from outer space! For 5,000 kilometers, it snakes up and down rugged mountains like a huge imperial dragon. You'll have an opportunity to climb this ancient wonder. After lunch, drive to the fabled Summer Palace, one of China's most enchanting garden complexes. This evening, your 'inner gourmet' will be treated to a special banquet featuring the city's world-famous "Peking Duck" dinner. BLD

FRIDAY, DAY 5- BEIJING-X'IAN
This morning, travel by old-fashioned rickshaw through the narrow streets of a Hutong village, one of a number of self-contained communities within the city, providing a revealing glimpse into the daily life of ordinary Beijing residents. Fill your senses with the sights and sounds of this exotic metropolis - the street vendors, crowds, bicycles and colorful. Shop in Silk alley, lunch, then after an afternoon Professional Visit, fly westward to X'ian, ancient capital of eleven dynasties. Dinner and overnight. BLD

SATURDAY, DAY 6 - X’IAN
The day begins with a visit to one of the country's most prized treasures- 6,000 life-sized terra-cotta warriors and their horses that guard the tomb of Emperior Qin Shi Huangdi, as they have done faithfully for 2,000 years. After lunch, see well preserved artifacts at the Provincial Museum and stop at the large Wild Goose Pagoda. Dinner and a performance at the Tang Dynasty Theatre. BLD

SUNDAY, DAY 7- X’IAN – YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE
This morning, a Professional Visit is scheduled. Then, fly to Chongqing for a brief sightseeing and lunch in this major city on the Yangtze. Board your Yangtze River Cruise. Dinner on board. BLD

MONDAY, DAY 8- YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE
Enjoy today's excursion to Fengdu, the "Ghost City" known for its gardens, temples and eerie devil statues molded into the site of the temples lining Mingsham Hill. BLD

TUESDAY, DAY 9- YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE
After passing through the scenic Quaint Gorge and Wu Gorge surrounded by the Twelve Peaks, disembark at Wushan, where you'll cross over steep hills for an excursion through spectacular scenery to the Daning River Small Gorges, which are narrower than the Three Gorges, but very impressive. Enter Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles) and the deepest of the Three Gorges. This evening, sail through the three Gorges ship locks. BLD

WEDNESDAY, DAY 10 – YANGTZE RIVER – YICHANG-SHANGHAI
Arrive Yang Jia Wang, site of the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest construction project and the most ambitious hydroelectric project in the world; see the diversion canal, power station and the dam construction. On to Yichang; transfer to the airport for the flight to exciting Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city, setting the pace for business, commerce, fashion, politics and culture. Transfer to your hotel for overnight. BL

THURSDAY, DAY 11- SHANGHAI
A full day of touring in this vibrant city includes the beautiful Shanghai Museum, serene Yu Yuan Gardens and the Jade Buddha Temple. Stroll along the Bund, the city's elegant waterfront boulevard. A Professional Visit is scheduled. Tonight, dinner followed by a performance by Shanghai Acrobats. BD

FRIDAY, DAY 12- SHANGHAI
Full day at leisure to explore this vibrant city at your own pace -stroll, the Bund, shop and explore the city - or perhaps an optional excursion to Suzhou with its classical gardens and winding canals. Tonight, our Farewell Dinner caps an enchanting tour.BD

SATURDAY, DAY 13- EN ROUTE
Transfer to the airport for the flight back to the U.S. B

HONG KONG EXTENSION
DAY 1
Departure transfer provided from your hotel in Shanghai to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel by scheduled airport motor coach. Balance of the day at leisure. B

DAY 2
Morning orientation tour of Hong Kong Island. Ascend Victoria Peak for a spectacular view of the city and harbor. Visit Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen floating village. B

DAY 3
Full day at leisure for shopping or optional touring. B

DAY 4
Transfer to the Hong Kong Airport by motor coach (scheduled airport bus) for your connections back to the U.S. B
